Treatment Specialties

I provide individual, couples and family counseling services in Palm Beach. I also offer virtual therapy using a HIPAA compliant video conferencing platform. Should you come into the Palm Beach office location, please rest assure that we follow CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting and also require masks within the lobby at this time.

My primary modalities include Emotionally Focused therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy and Person-Centered therapy. Additionally, I am trained in brainspotting, a treatment method that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/ body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other symptoms.

My treatment specializations include: Trauma,  Anxiety, Depression, Stress Management, Relationship Concerns, Divorce, Breakup, Conflict, Women’s Issues, Infertility, Miscarriages, Body Image and Self-Esteem, Parenting Issues, Life Transitions, Health/ Wellness/ Self-care, Personal Growth and Self Exploration, Grief and Loss, and Self-Harm.

While extremely difficult to experience, crisis and suffering provide unique opportunities to awaken extraordinary capacities within you that otherwise might lie dormant, unknown and untapped. Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) allows us to experientially make the most of these opportunities for both healing and transformation. Key to the therapeutic action of this model is the undoing of aloneness. Thus, the establishment of the therapeutic relationship experienced as both safe haven and secure base is critical. Once that’s established, we work with emotional experience, working experientially toward healing trauma and suffering, and toward expanding emergent positive transformational experiences. In therapy, we can work together to transform the roots of your struggles into renewed strength and deeper understanding of your life’s journey and purpose.

I view romantic and familial relationships as our most sacred and important attachment bonds. It is a secure bond with a partner or spouse that is often a natural anti-depressant! As an Emotionally Focused Couples and Family Therapist, I help partners and family members better understand emotions and take control of negative patterns in their relationships that fuel disconnection and conflict. Without a secure attachment with a partner or family member(s), our mental health is at risk. Through the Emotionally Focused therapeutic process, you can have the comfort of a secure loving bond return within your relationship with a partner or family member. If you choose to participate in this type of therapy with a partner or family member, a key focus will be in developing new ways to listen and stay attuned to another’s emotions and discover more productive ways to respond to various emotional situations and triggers.

As therapy is a collaborative process, finding the right match with someone whom you have a sense of rapport with is critical. If you would like to see if we are a fit to potentially work together, please contact me for a  complimentary 15 minute phone consultation.
